Patients living in central and western Iowa will soon have more convenient access to UI Health Care services in the Des Moines area, in alignment with UI Health Care’s commitment to bringing complex care closer to home.
“Thousands of UI Health Care patients currently live in the Des Moines area, and our goal is to provide them with more convenient access and continuity of care,” says Douglas Van Daele, MD, vice dean for clinical affairs, Carver College of Medicine. “The new Urbandale clinic will allow us to centralize and expand many of the adult and pediatric specialty services we currently provide in this community. It will also increase our capacity to add complementary services, so we can better meet the needs of our patients who live in the Des Moines area in the future."
Services expected to be relocated to the new Urbandale clinic in 2025 include adult hepatology, pediatric nephrology, pediatric urology, reproductive endocrinology and in vitro fertilization (IVF) services, and more.
