J. Joshua "Josh" Wilda, MPA

Bio

Joshua Wilda leads the Health Care Information Systems (HCIS) team and oversees information technology services, including technical support, applications development, clinical applications and the digital health transformation strategy across UI Health Care.

Wilda has more than 20 years of health care leadership experience and previously served as the chief digital and information officer at University of Michigan Health–Regional Network.

He is a nationally recognized leader, honored with the 2024 Michigan Orbie Award–Healthcare CIO of the Year, 2024 National Orbie award finalist and 2023 CHIME Digital Health Leader to Watch. He is also the co-author of the influential publication, “Artificial Intelligence, Ambient Voice, and Healthcare: A Responsible Path Forward,” which is now widely cited for its practical and ethical insights on integrating emerging technology in clinical care. 

Wilda is a certified health care chief digital and information officer through the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives. He earned a master’s degree in public administration with a health care emphasis from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
